Boys Basketball, Competitive Cheer, and Girls Swim and Dive competitions are here and we look forward to seeing you at our events!

Hand2Hand - Check out the flyer below as Rockford Public School and the Athletics Department participate in Hand 2 Hand donation collection from November 8th - 26th. This is an effort to raise awareness of the need to support hungry students in our district.

These students stand out amongst their peers with their leadership, integrity, sportsmanship, and responsibility in Rockford Athletics. Congratulations!

Jack M. - NRMS 7th Grade Boys Basketball

Jack is a leader in practice, amazing work ethic. Does whatever is asked of him at anytime and does it with a smile on his face.

Cohen G. - NRMS 7th Grade Boys Basketball

Cohen is dedicated to helping our team be successful through his hard work, positive attitude, and leadership, both in games and during practices. Off the court, Cohen is a great teammate who encourages everyone. His commitment to improving makes him an important part of our team.

Gracelyn D. - 8th Grade Competitive Cheer

Gracie is an extremely hard worker and continues trying new skills until she gets them. She has a positive attitude and is always asking for feedback on ways to be a better athlete and teammate.

Brody B. - NRMS 8th Grade Boys Basketball

Brody is a guy who leads by example through his hard work, never giving up, keeping a positive attitude even when things don’t go his way, and doing all the little things right. Brody strives to make himself and his teammates better. He understands the importance of working as a team.

Chuck W. - NRMS 8th Grade Boys Basketball

Chuck has been a great leader so far this season. He is working hard in practice and it has carried over to our games. Keep it up Chuck!

Trent G. - ERMS 8th Grade Boys Basketball

Trent always plays with great effort. He’s a tremendous team player who does anything that is asked of him. Great job Trent!

Kaden B. - ERMS 7th Grade Boys Basketball

Kaden has a great attitude and always plays hard! He also has a great desire to learn and to become a better basketball player.

Kenzie T. - 7/8 Combo Competitive Cheer

Kenzie is a hard worker, and is always up for a new challenge. She has changed positions a few times and has continued to put her best foot forward and work to the best of her ability at every practice.

Rylee P. - Girls Swim and Dive

Rylee is a coaches dream. She works each day to get better. She never complains and is a role model for her teammates. Her dedication to constant improvement and positivity make her an invaluable member of our team.

Raya A. - Girls Swim and Dive

Raya is a returning swimmer that is primed to have an outstanding season. Raya has worked in the offseason to improve and will be a top performer in our conference. Raya is an athlete that could think she doesn't need coaching yet she does each swim set to the best of her ability without complaint. She works tirelessly to improve her skill.

Elijah P. - ERMS 7th Grade Boys Basketball

Elijah is a hard worker and a great teammate. He works hard to be a positive role model for our team every day.

Dylan M. - ERMS 8th Grade Boys Basketball

Dylan hustles in practice, has grown in his communication on defense, and shown extreme growth in his defense due to his diligence in communication and seeing the court.

RHS Boys Basketball Hardwood Hysteria

RHS Boys Basketball’s Hardwood Hysteria is Friday, November 22 at 5:30 pm at North Rockford Middle School. Come check out the Freshman/JV Scrimmage at 5:30 pm, with Varsity events starting at 6 pm. There are contests, raffles, and more!

Rockford Middle School Sports

Registration – All athletes must be registered using Register My Athlete (RegisterMyAthlete.com)

prior to the start of tryouts or practice, as well as enrolled in Rockford Public Schools to participate in school sponsored athletics. If a sport or team is not listed here or not available for your grade level, please check out offerings through Rockford Community Services.

A physical is required prior to tryouts/practice dated on or after April 15, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year. Athletes must have a current physical on file and approved prior to tryouts.

FCA - Fellowship of Christian Athletes at ERMS

East Rockford Middle School

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a student group dedicated to learning more about Jesus Christ while hanging out with old and new friends. All students are welcome! No matter what! You are wanted here. Huddles take places on Wednesdays at 7 am in Miss Davis' room – Room 101.

North Rockford Middle School

Meetings are every other Tuesday at 7:00 am in room 104. Please join us for snacks, fellowship, and prayer with Coach Barr and Coach Anderson. Enter the building to the right of the front entrance at door 51. November meetings are on the 5th and 19th.
